Taiwo Hassan was born on the 22nd of February, 1960 (60years ago) in Ilaro, Ogun State, Nigeria into the family of Mr. Surakat Akinwande and Mrs. Olufunke Sabainat, though research has it that Yetunde Wunmi grew up in Egbado and Ibadan, Oyo State. She, however, attended Ansar-up-deen Primary School, Ilaro Ogun State. She is a Muslim by religion.
