4/16/2015 · A: Carefully try tightening the cable . Look behind the Harley enrichener cable bracket. You will see a zinc plated nut. Tighten this ONLY SLIGHTLY. Just a nudge will do. If you over tighten, you will break the cable , so be very careful. You are tightening a steel nut, over a plastic, hollow, shaft.? 9/27/2009 · The enrichener cable pulls a plunger out of a cavity in the side of the carb uncovering the fuel feed hole that is fed from the float bowl . Air rushing into the carb venturi creates a vacuum at that point and draws fuel from the bowl past the enrichener valve and into the throat of the carb .
